the lead story in the current edition of city people magazine brought forth rumours that funke akindele moved into a private estate in lekki with new lover and immediately the news went viral online but the actress has come forward to debunk the rumours.
in a press statement released by her publicist, funke said, it would be not be neccessary to make it a media issue since it is just an ambiguous claim that an imaginary lover paid for the apartment.
in her words, “In the past few months I have enjoyed tremendous love from my fans, family and brands that I represent. I cherish every second I get to spend with my colleagues on sets because it has been rewarding. I look forward to many more precious moments in the years ahead. I appreciate the concern of fans and a section of the media on this matter of the heart, but I plead for understanding as I continue to concentrate my creative energy on my career and immediate family.”
she futher urged the media to endeavor to follow proper journalistic procedures and ethical concerns in matters like this.
